Going to Pililla is a very relaxing long drive from Taytay, and since its been ages since we last visited the place, Pau and I decided to go there and visit his relatives just in time for the All Saints Day.
About one and a half hour and three (since we went there with his sister) grumbling stomachs after we decided to stop by a famous restaurant during our college years, The Halamanan Restaurant. I was surprised to find out that the restaurant now has a different name and is now connected to a coffee shop named Vista Barista. But since its lunch time and Starbucks planner is ongoing we decided to eat at the Halamanan.
Its a little bit pricey, something that Im not super recommending. Since were not seeing anything special in the menu we decided to have their Kare-kare (about Php 280) and Liempo (about 210 Php). I’m telling you, its a bit pricey for 2 servings but nonetheless it tastes good.
We still visited Vista Barista which located just beside Halamanan however the only available cake at that time is chocolate and so we decided not to have it and continue our trip.
After merienda, long talks and bonding with Pau’s family we decided to go back to Taytay. We chance upon an almost 400 year old Baroque style church, the St Jerome Church and is most commonly known as the Morong Church. The church has a very impressive facade and its bell tower is magnificent. Something that completed my long and tiring day!
